Coming early in January is a new version of Vision. Included in this release are user interface changes and improved communications resilience.
Communications
The improved communications resilience will address problems a small number of users experience due to the quality of their broadband. The new communications strategy will allow vision to automatically recover from a temporary blip in broadband connectivity and in the case of a more permanent outage save your work locally so that it can be recovered when broadband is regained.
Vision Interface
The new user interface changes will move the vehicle and Image Tabs into Vision so that all estimating functionality is contained in one place. The new look user interface is more intuitive and works in the same way as other windows programs. Below are details of each of the new tabs:
Vehicle Tab
All of the vehicle details are now contained within vision and are displayed on a single page. The figure below shows the new look and feel. The old ‘Get DVLA Data’ button has been replaced with a ‘Find’ button next to the registration plate. The new find button provides matches to more vehicles than ever before.

Image Tab
The new image tab (see below) is now in Vision and works in a similar manner to the previous one, with the exception of delete an image which is done from a button rather than a cross associated with each image. The big improvements come when attaching images or viewing images.

When attaching images (see below) you are presented with a standard window’s file dialog this allows you to quickly navigate to where your images are located and attach more than one image at a time using the ctrl or shift key.

Image Viewer
The new image viewer allows you to navigate from picture to picture by clicking on the thumbnails saving you having to return to the image tab each time. The new image view has more image manipulation features including:
