We have now successfully completed the move to our new data centre and new, faster internet servers. All post-move testing is complete and the Inter-est system is working normally.
Over the next few days we will be monitoring the servers carefully to ensure that no problems arise. If you experience any problems accessing Inter-est then please don't hesitate to contact us on 01625 616020 or helpdesk@inter-est.net.
We would once again like to thank all our customers for their understanding and cooperation during this move.

Over the weekend of 1st-2nd October the Inter-est system will be upgrading to new servers at a new data centre.
We have been planning for this move for some time to ensure that we minimise the impact on all our users. We will take Inter-est off-line at 8pm on Friday 30th September, and it will be available again before 6am on Monday 3rd October. During the move we will be posting updates on our Twitter feed at @WeAreInterest.
The good news is that you shouldn't have to do anything: all estimates, web site addresses (URLs), user IDs, passwords etc. will stay the same. The only change you should notice is improved speed and responsiveness.
However, if you or your organisation uses a firewall or proxy that restricts access to web sites based on IP address then you'll need to be aware that the IP address of our servers will change from 82.110.63.85 to 78.136.24.30 when we make the move, and you will have to add the new IP address to any filter rules you may have. If you have a small business or domestic-type firewall then you probably don't have such restrictions in-place, but if you are unsure then check with your IT department or technology provider. Please don't hesitate tocontact us if you require advice or assistance.
We are investing in new servers so that you can benefit from the improved performance, reliability and room for expansion that the new data centre can provide. Please rest assured that your estimates and data will be safe, and that we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this change.

The newly launched Global Repair Solutions network aim to offer a national, fast track repair service utilising BSI Kitemark accredited repair centres. Rob Ward of Automotive Consulting & Training who has assisted Global in developing the concept said that bodyshops would keep their own identity, but within the workshop would be a separate, standalone Global branded repair facility which offered consistency and guaranteed repairs would be completed within 24 hours.

Despite the unexpected downtime of the Audatex system, this need not stop a bodyshop from carrying out business as usual. Although many insurer customers require the use of Audatex, it makes complete sense for bodyshops to have a back-up system, especially as this is not the first time that Audatex have experienced such a failure.
