How often do you hear of vehicles turning up at body-shops when they are clearly write-offs? Or low-loaders being deployed unnecessarily? Or cars taking up storage space and running up costs when they should be somewhere else?

We set about tackling this problem. Right at the front end. With the people who handle FNOL (First Notification of Loss) - typically call-centre operators (not qualified VDA's). The answer is Inter-cept.

And we based our solution on triage - like you find in A&E, or on M*A*S*H, where an early assessment makes sure medical patients are sent to the right department for treatment.

Simple questions are discussed over the phone with the vehicle owner. The FNOL operator is guided through the right steps in the right order. And the vehicle is sent for the relevant repair at the right place .... or dispatched to the scrapyard. Simple.

  • Improves accuracy and speed of diagnosis, allocating each vehicle to the appropriate next stage
  • Supports correct analysis and decision-making, whatever the skill level of the operator
  • Saves time, space and money dealing with vehicles that should never have come anywhere near a body-shop, letting repairers focus on profitable work
